Radio Resource Management in LTE Networks
نویسنده
چکیده
This paper proposes a newly developed priority based call admission control algorithm, that performs the all the decision making regarding which strategies to adopt in order to successfully serve a new user, even if the load level in the corresponding cell is above a defined threshold. The combination of methods such as forced handover, queue list and service degradation allows for a customizable approach to admission control, between rigid Quality of Service (QoS) limits and high capacity in number of simultaneously active users. To assess and obtain valid results about its performance, one adapted and used the LTE System Level Downlink Simulator in real world based scenarios.

The development of wireless broadband access network (WBAN) leads to enhance the insufficiency of unoccupied radio resources. This is quite expected in coming times, wireless cellular technologies and wireless local area networks (WLANs) will work together in coexistence scenario within the alike unlicensed spectrums (USs). Although, two most emerging wireless networks, i.e., Long Term Evaluati...

In 4G technology especially LTE relaying and orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) are widely accepted techniques in downlink. To obtain ubiquitous coverage with high data rate to user terminals even in difficult channel conditions (e.g. cell edge) a centralized RRM algorithm has been proposed for cellular fixed relay networks in downlink OFDMA. The

Under the development of the self organizing network (SON) for long term evolution (LTE) systems, the radio resource management (RRM) with suitable frequency reuse technique is a vital factor in providing the required performance for future applications especially in the case of convergence of networks and services. A way to improve the scheduling process of the physical radio resource blocks (...
متن کاملDesign Considerations for Radio Resource Management of LTE/LTE-A Femtocells
In order to improve the wireless network performance, one of the most potential solutions is the use of a number of small size cells called femtocells. One of the facilitating technologies for LTE/ LTE-A (Long Term EvolutionAdvance) is the deployment of femtocellular network. As the number of femtocell increases, managing the radio resource becomes challenging due to the co existence of other f...

OFDMA based-Long-term evolution (LTE) femtocells represent a very promising answer to the ever rising bandwidth demand of mobile applications. Femtocells, standardised as HeNBs, are end user deployed network nodes for indoor environment with a network backhaul provided by the digital subscriber line (DSL) or cable modem. The base station called as Femtocell Access Point can be easily deployed i...
متن کاملA New Fairness Index and Novel Approach for QoS-Aware Resource Allocation in LTE Networks Based on Utility Functions
Resource allocation techniques have recently appeared as a widely recognized feature in LTE networks. Most of existing approaches in resource allocation focus on maximizing network’s utility functions. The great potential of utility function in improving resource allocation and enhancing fairness and mean opinion score (MOS) indexes has attracted large efforts over the last few years. In this p...
